Our Worship

Worship is typically viewed by humanity as what we do to approach a higher power. Even in places where worship is considered a two-way communication (God to man, man to God), worship is viewed as an act to appease God or to earn His favor.

This view of worship has everything backward. We do not ascend to God, rather he descends to us. He does this not to give us all the things we want, but rather the things He knows we need.

While we offer a blended service consistent with LCMS Liturgy. We come together to confess and receive forgiveness, and give praise for all He has given us.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. ~ Acts 2:42

Below you’ll find some elements of worship.

The TRUE Blood of Christ, Shed FOR YOU

The Lord’s Supper has been at the very center of Christian worship since the earliest days of the church, and it’s no different for us. This is with good reason, as it was with none other than this very act with which Christ instituted his new testament. Long before Christians could even own a copy of the scriptures, they were meeting to receive this gift of Christ’s body and blood.

We take Jesus at his words that in this bread and wine, we are given the actual body and blood of our Lord. We don’t try to explain the how but rather receive this amazing gift, binding us as it were to Him in the forgiveness offered in the words “given and shed for you.”

We Believe, Teach and Confess.

The Gospel

The word “Gospel” means good news, and it is precisely this free gift of forgiveness, life, and salvation that makes the gospel seem too good to be true. Except that it is true. There is nothing you must do to earn it. There is nothing you can do to achieve it. The only thing in your power to do is to reject this free gift thinking you don’t need it. And why would you want to do that? It is simply given.

Committed to this good news as given to us in Scripture alone we trust by faith alone in this total grace alone for everyone salvation for the sake of Christ alone.

  • Grace Alone (Sola Gratia): God loves the people of the world, even though they are sinful, rebel against Him, and do not deserve His love. He sent Jesus, His Son, to love the unlovable and save the ungodly.
  • Faith Alone (Sola Fide): By His suffering and death as the substitute for all people of all time, Jesus purchased and won forgiveness and eternal life for them. Those who hear this Good News and believe it have the eternal life that it offers. God creates faith in Christ and gives people forgiveness through Him.
  • Scripture Alone (Sola Scriptura): The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible Word, in which He reveals His Law and His Gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ. It is the sole rule and norm for Christian doctrine.
